Methodology and privacy
The project
areyousure is a free, independent research project with no political aims or party affiliations. The goal is traceability, discoverability and long-term access to public data: what verified profiles say, what official outlets write, how public discourse changes. Data collection started on 13 October 2026.
What we collect
- Public posts from the official social profiles of people approved by the editorial team.
- Headline, short excerpt and link of articles from monitored sources.
- No private content: messages, chats, groups or restricted posts never enter the system.
How we verify
An account enters the system only if verified through Wikidata, the person's official website, the platform badge or a documented manual review. The verification source is shown next to each profile. People imported from Wikidata stay as "draft" until approved.
Edited or deleted posts
When a post changes we keep the previous version and mark it as "edited". If it is deleted at the source it stays in the archive labelled "removed at source": the historical record is the mission of this project.
